Colorado

The U.S state Colorado has its name from the Colorado river which was named Rio Colorado by Spanish travelers. The state has the nickname `Centennial State´. Colorado encompasses most the Southern Rocky Mountains, northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. It is part of the western United State, the Southwestern US and the Mountain States. Colorado is bordered by Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and is part of the Four Corners. Its total population of 2014 is about 5,355,866 and the area is 269,837 sq km. Popular tourist attractions are the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Cheyenne
 Mountain Zoo and the Garden of the Gods.


Crazy laws:

- People who have the flu or a cold are not allowed to ride a horse.
- Car dealers are not allowed to show their cars on Sundays.
- In Crippe Creek, horses and burros are only allowed to stay in the first floor of a building.
- In Logan Country it is forbidden to kiss a woman while she is sleeping.
- In Sterling, cats are not allowed to run wild without a light on their cattail.
